The TAMARIN study: tamoxifen for MPNs

An upcoming study is investigating a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). In this interview, Claire Harrison, MD, FRCP, FRCPath, from Guys and St Thomas Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, gives an overview of the TAMARIN study (ISRCTN65011803); a study supported by Bloodwises Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP), investigating the effects of the anti-estrogen therapy tamoxifen on JAK/CALR mutant allele burden and disease course in patients with MPNs.
