Cure Leukemia is a leading center for the development of new drug and transplant treatments for patients with hematological cancers. Its aim is to improve the access to the latest clinical trials for patients in the UK with the assistance of research nurses, who play a pivotal role in recruiting patients for transplant clinical trials. In this talk, Charles Craddock, CBE, FRCP (UK), FRCPath, DPhil, from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham, UK, mentions the recognition Cure Leukemia has received and why its role is crucial.
