Immunotherapy has received a lot of coverage as a revolutionary cancer treatment, in both the medical community and in the mainstream media, and it is likely that this trend will continue in the coming years. In this interview, Elaine Vickers, PhD, of Science Communicated Ltd, Manchester, UK, explains how this will affect cancer nurses, in terms of knowledge of the immune system and the mechanism of action of these drugs to be able to answer their patients’ queries and concerns.
