This was my talk at the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center Seminar Series on May 10, 2016. I review translational approaches to cancer research, areas of cancer research that should be reassessed, and novel approaches to strategies that can be used in the lab to address clinically relevant questions in oncology.
