Ichiro Okamoto, MD of the Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria discusses future challenges for genetic testing for skin cancer. According to Prof. Okamoto, the challenge is the proper transfer of information from the expert to the patient. He highlights that it is important to explain the results in a calm way and to convince the patients of the advantages of knowing one’s own risk.
